HOW IT ALL STARTED...
Transformations opened its doors in 2013 with the purpose of helping children reach their full potential.
Marco Rodriguez wanted to share his knowledge and revolutionize the way Occupational Therapy was implemented in El Paso, Texas and the surrounding area. The journey began when Marco Rodriguez decided to share "Patrick's story"... a story about his own son's struggles.
After years of research, Marco found that combining Occupational Therapy and Neurofeedback was a viable alternative in helping his son overcome these potentially devastating disabilities.
Despite the expert's gloomy prognosis, Patrick's world has opened up and he is now a thriving 17 year old A-B honor roll student; all without the need of medication. In addition, although Marco was advised that highschool competitive sports was unrealistic, Patrick defied the odds by making the all-state second team in football as a Junior. He is now preparing for his senior year of highschool.
PATRICK'S STORY IS HEARD AROUND THE WORLD...
Once the local physicians heard of Patrick's incredible story, they encouraged Marco to establish a treatment center in order to better serve the families in El Paso and surrounding area. After much consideration Marco and Diane Rodriguez did just that. So in June of 2013, Transformations Rehabilitation Services was established with the goal of "transforming lives... renewing minds." Since then, there have been many more stories like "Patrick's story." For example, the 8 year old boy, who'd never spoken a word, telling his mother he loves her for the very first time. A 32 year old woman who is now able to communicate with her parents through words and gestures, for the first time. The testimonies go on and on. Imagine, a new life that has been gained for each person... Child and parent alike.
HELP US TODAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW...
Due to the limited space of our existing facility, we are currently at maximum capacity. The result is that we may be forced to place all new referrals on a 3 to 6 month waiting list. As a parent of a child who nearly lost hope, this is unacceptable. Transformations wants to continue helping and giving hope to families. No child should have to wait to learn to talk, walk, play and especially smile. Our goal is to help each family create their own amazing success story.
YOUR DONATIONS BELONG TO THE CHILDREN...
The purpose of this GoFundMe account is to create a better facility for the existing kids, as well as expand services to help more children.
Phase 1 of your donation will be used to move into a new building. There are warehouse spaces available that are over 3 times the square footage of our current location. However, turning a warehouse space into a treatment center can be pricey when you consider all the safety inspections, codes and regulations that must be met.
Phase 2 of your donation will be applied toward the purchase of the equipment necessary to better serve these children and their families. This includes new neurofeedback machines, sensorimotor equipment as well as various testing materials.
With your help, we can expand our services and continue creating a life changing experience for these special needs children and their parents.
As a special thank you for your support, we will create a special recognition "WALL OF HONOR" to honor you. Anyone donating $100 will have their name posted in a group plaque. Anyone donating $500 will have an indivual inscribed brick on "the wall." Any business donating $750 or more will be allowed to display their banner in our Sensory Motor Gymnasium.
