“Paathai (Path)” Trust is a Social Service Organization focusing on supporting economically backward children education, rural educational projects, Environmental projects such as Water body restoration, Tree plantation etc., in Tamil Nadu, India.

Paathai Trust in association with "Namadhu Kiramam" team has been doing water body restoration, Tree plantation projects for the past three years in the 10 villages in Vaduvur area in the Thanjavur delta region. We have planted so far around 20,000 trees with proper fencing and Tree protectors and achieved success rate of ~75%

In July 2020, Paathai trust in association with Paruthikkottai panchayat initiated a Miyawaki Mini forest pilot project in an acre of land by planting 2200+ trees. This pilot project has been an amazing success with 97% of trees growing exceptionally well.

The recent water body restoration and Tree plantation projects has helped to increase the ground water level by about 140 feet in the region compared to three years before.

Based on the success of Vettikkadu Mini Forest project, Paathai trust is planning to implement five Miyawaki Mini Forests in this year 2021 in association with "Namadhu Kiramam" team and Village Panchayats at the cost of US $20,000 (~INR 15,00,000).

We seek your help and support for this major environmental restoration initiative of Miyawaki Mini Forests which will become the home for birds, small animals and also will help in bringing rains to the region.
