A few months ago, I was accepted into a University of Georgia study abroad program that presents me with the opportunity to spend a month across the world doing what I love most: studying music. From May 16 - June 10, 2023, I will be touring Italy, studying conducting and music history at two Italian Conservatories of Music in Milan and Torino, Italy.
At the conclusion of the study, I hope to remain in Europe for 3 weeks, touring and visiting new places in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Prague and France. This is an opportunity of a lifetime; an opportunity that comes with many, many costs including roundtrip airfare, tuition and fees, train and bus rides, meals, etc.
This opportunity is huge in my development as a well-versed conductor and well-rounded musician. Also, all of the courses I take while abroad will count toward my degree work. Not only this, traveling allows me to fully experience another culture in a safe, controlled environment with people that I know and trust.
No one should feel obligated to give by any means, but know that every penny will go directly to my participation in this program of study.
