Financial Hardship Re: TyAnn
Donation protected
TyAnn is an amazing 13 year old girl who spends her free time fighting for the rights of kids around the world by volunteering with her mom for NGO's such as World Vision and Slavery No More. Now, she is facing her toughest battle yet, fighting for her life.
TyAnn is battling Ewings Sarcoma, a very rare form of cancer that only affects 2.9 out of 1 million people per year. The tumor has invaded the whole sinus cavity on her right side including her cheek bone and has grown up towards her eye pressing against her cornea. As a result she has lost most of her vision in her right eye.
Her chemo treatment requires hospitalization every two weeks with many trips to and from the hospital in between. When she starts radiation in a few months, she will have to travel back and forth from the hospital daily, except when she is already hospitalized for the chemo. Duration of the chemo will be 25-30 weeks minimum and radiation 8 weeks.
A little over a year ago, TyAnn's father was in a car accident and is on permanent disability. Her mother has not been able to work since TyAnn was diagnosed and is attempting to work part time from the hospital. Their financial hardship is increasing by the day.
