UC Skoolies - Fund UC Students' Educational Adventure
Donation protected
In the small rural town of Union City, IN, a dedicated group of high school students, guided by their inspiring teacher Mr. Clevenger, have embarked on an ambitious, student-led project to transform a retired school bus into a fully functional RV. This hands-on initiative is designed to immerse the students in practical skills and trades, fostering a deep appreciation for hard work and teamwork.
Under Mr. Clevenger's guidance, the students meticulously stripped down the old bus and delved into various tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Each phase of the conversion will offer a new learning opportunity, helping the students acquire skills that extend far beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Their hard work and dedication are set to culminate in a memorable spring break adventure across America’s national parks. As they journey through these iconic landscapes, the students will not only appreciate the beauty of their surroundings but also reflect on the invaluable lessons learned through their collaborative effort and hands-on project.
We are inviting you to join us on this journey and support the students. Like any DIY project and renovation, there is a cost. Randolph Eastern School Corporation has been generous in donating the school bus as well as facilities and tools. We are seeking funding to complete the conversion.
