Ukraine Student Qualified for Fargo National & National Dual

Hello. My name is Denys Tsap, I am 15 years old. I am a student from Ukraine and currently study at Cary High School. I came to North Carolina with my younger brother in 2023, after the war started in Ukraine.

My younger brother and I practiced freestyle wrestling for many years in Ukraine. When we had to leave our home and our life behind, being able to continue wrestling was the only thing that brought normalcy to our lives.

We are very fortunate to find a wrestling community here in North Carolina.

I am on the Cary Highschool wrestling team, and practice every week with Cary Devil Dogs wrestling club, and RAW wrestling club.

I participated in 46th Annual Tar Heel State Classic in April and qualified for Fargo Nationals Championship in July.

I was also invited to represent NC Team in USA Wrestling National Duals in June.

My category is 138 pounds.

This may be once in a lifetime opportunity for me to participate in USA Wrestling events of this kind.

All funds raised will help me to cover the registration fees for both events.

Registration fees for Fargo Nationals are $1,700 and registration fees for National Duals are $1,200.

All donations and support are greatly appreciated and will allow me to participate in both of these important events and attend camps prior to each event.
