Help! Ullr is still missing after CO avalanche.

UPDATE! It’s time to change directions of this fundraiser a bit.

The fundraiser is to help Jacob Dalbey find his missing dog, Ullr, who was lost in the Chair Mountain avalanche that critically injured Jacob on March 17, 2023.  Rescue crews confirmed that Ullr made it out of the avalanche alive.  In the months since, there have been several credible sightings of Ullr (most recent: February 2024) 11 months after Ullr went missing. Ullr is now living “survival mode" in the remote Colorado mountains, too scared to come to safety.  This fundraiser has and continues to pay for professional tracking services, drone services, infrared trail cameras and cell service for them, extra attractive food for multiple feeding stations, printing of "Missing Dog" posters and flyers, search team support, and the medical and emotional healing that Jacob needs to be able to stay in the area and recover his beloved dog, who has been on every back country adventure with Jacob since Ullr was a tiny pup.  Please help Jake and Ullr find each other!

Hi, my name is Deb and I am creating this GoFundMe to help Jacob Dalbey find his dog Ullr. Jake and Ullr were enjoying a beautiful day in the Colorado Backcountry around Marble, CO with a couple friends on March 17, 2023, when unfortunately the snow was unstable and cracked. Jake and his friends were caught in an avalanche near Chair Mountain. Ullr escaped the avalanche and has been on his own since. Jake needed to hire a professional tracker to come in and help find Ullr. This is very expensive and he needs help to pay for it! Jake was badly injured in the avalanche and has underwent surgeries as well as is healing from severe frostbite himself. Due to Jake’s injuries he can not be out in the weather very much, so his searching capabilities are very limited. The terrain is also very rugged.

Jake really needs to find Ullr, his most loyal 4 legged companion. However, as Jake is currently unable to work, and he has a lot of unplanned medical bills; Jake’s funds are too low to pay for the tracker on his own.

Please help Jake find Ullr and get him home! All donations will go directly to Jacob to help him pay for all the miscellaneous expense related to searching for Ullr, including Ullr's probable vet expenses.
