Uncle Ben's Cancer fund

My name is Dylan Burns, I am creating this GoFundMe to help my Uncle Ben and his family through this difficult period of Illness and all that comes with dealing with a malignant cancer of this sort.  

This last summer after multiple trips to the doctor for what was continually diagnosed as a difficult sinus infection, my Uncle Ben sought a second opinion immediately upon being seen the new doctors recognized that this was not a sinus infection but a tumor in his sinus cavity that was quickly determined to be a fast growing rare form of cancer.  Given its rapid rate of growth and the area it was located the doctors initially where going to operate and remove a large portion of his face.  The tumor had grown so rapidly that it had eaten into the bone of his face and sinus the ocular nerve and into the front portion of his brain.   The outlook was not good.  They then tested him to see if he was strong enough to survive the surgery and found he had a heart condition as well, which they operated to correct, but they also found that the cancer had metastasized into his lymph system and a polyp was found in his lungs.  At this point there was little they could do other than try and shrink the tumor and stop the growth through a combination of chemo and radiation treatment.  
Unfortunately for my uncle the tumor is growing so rapidly that the radiation treatment is extremely painful because of how distorted his face had become.  I posted a picture from the fall and then from the beginning of winter please take a look to see what I am referring to.

Since the treatment has started though he has started to become disoriented and on 2 occasions went to the wrong home and had the police called fortunately he was not charged and was released into the care of a family member.  He also had an episode while cooking dinner he forgot what he was doing as a result the fire department came and had to break down the door and extinguish a small cooking fire.  These events have lead to his landlord threatening eviction.

What I am hoping to do with this funding is to relieve his wife’s need to leave the home for long periods of work leaving him unsupervised and in a dangerous situation. I also hope to assist them the cost of care in other ways as well.  Finally, I hope to help them with final expenses when that time comes.

The need is urgent to raise funds as everyday is another day of danger for him and the sooner something can be arranged for his full time care the better.

My Uncle Ben is a loving man he cares deeply for everyone and has spent the better portion of his life trying to help those in need with whatever he could.  He is not a wealth man and often struggled to keep the bills paid throughout his life for him and his family.  That being said he would give the shirt off his back if he thought it would be of use to someone in need.  Sometimes this didn’t always work out in the best for him but that never deterred him from helping others.  He is truly a man that others should attempt to emulate when it comes to having empathy for others needs.  He has also been a loving and caring father, grandfather, husband, uncle and friend to those around him.

Any help you can give will be much appreciated we are in a desperate situation here and the help would mean much needed relief.  Thank you
