FACTS, thoughts count, but COINS COUNT BETTER!!!

$MOsDough

Aside my late (GOD-grandparents), it was clear, ours is KitKAT's - quite the distinctly marked classic ginger Tabby's furever home. Yet, Lucky Chico Kevin Martin (long story) - Red&White Long Haired Chihuahua, just happened to be straying on the right street, at the right time. But the worst feeling hit us, they were gone...missing for two days, and a week!

So We immediately hit the streets with fliers, posted socially, at IT WORKED! Nevertheless, all that stayed on my mind was the tumultuous journey in Homewood Bound.

Turns out, the local city shelter, doesn't have the best practices for nurturing small Chihuahuas, and THE KNEW IT! The carelessness of the staff caused long-lived injury which can only be corrected with surgery. Per Gemini "A COLLAPSED TRACHEA is a chronic condition in dogs that occurs when the cartilage rings in the windpipe weaken and flatten, narrowing the airway. This can lead to a range of respiratory problems and other complications." When excited, while playing, when protecting me, Chico's bark is like a bunches of very very hurtful coughs. So without surgery he'll never be able to bark like a dog again, for the rest of his life.

In my other hand, my KitKAT's concern is much more serious. Although they got out at the same time, they were lost in different directions. While a good Samaritan picked up Chico and transported him to the other side of town, his kool kat brother roamed as one cat would. When I finally found him, he was in a local cat abandoned hangout house. Ultimately, KitKAT ended up with rat poisoning. Per Gemini "Rat poisoning in cats can be life-threatening and requires immediate veterinary care. Symptoms can include:

- Internal bleeding: Weakness, pale gums, bruising, vomiting blood, bloody stools, and difficulty breathing

- Neurologic signs: If bleeding occurs in the brain or spinal cord

- Cholecalciferol toxicity: Increased urination and excessive thirst, usually within 18 to 36 hours.

At the particular moment in my life, Chico requires a much-needed surgery, and I'm in the ER in a LIFE OR DEATH situation for KitKAT.
