I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart, asking for your help during this time of urgent need. Now, I'm on a mission of a different kind: to secure a safe future for my family amidst the chaos that surrounds us.

Amidst this devastation, my family stands — a diverse group of 6 individuals, each with their own stories and hopes for the future.

My father, Awni, is a social science teacher of more than 2 decades. He has guided us through many of life's storms, teaching us that our goals are not just titles or personal achievements, but missions and services to our society. He spent all his years of work to build his dream house for his family, with its own garden that he planted and took care of with his hands, only to see it eventually turned into dust before his eyes.

My mother, Rasha, has been the heart of our family, a strong and determined mother whose resilience and care have knit us together through the toughest times. She is the best role model for her children, despite enduring a lot. She suffers from several chronic health issues and finds it difficult to obtain medicines during the war.

My siblings, Ahmed, who finished his degree as a medical doctor, returned to his country from Sudan to start his life as an intensive care doctor. However, he couldn't, and now he volunteers in the hospitals of Gaza to save lives as best he can.

The younger brother, Mohammed, is a graduate of information technology who previously worked with Jawwal, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Palestine. Now, he struggles to help the family meet their needs.

My sister, Nouran, is an intelligent girl who finished high school with high grades and is a Multimedia student. She had just started her dream as a VR gaming developer, a dreamy and enthusiastic member of the technology incubator projects UCASTI, but now it's on hold as universities and companies are not functioning anymore.

My little sister, Leyan, was in high school and considered a member of many community teams at AlQattan Child Center. Despite her young age, she has great ambition and many experiences, which the occupation stopped and suspended her ability to discover and innovate. Her education is disrupted due to the ongoing war and destruction of schools by Israeli bombardment.

Nouran and Leyan share a passion for photographing heritage and historical places in Gaza.

On November 5.2023, we lost more than 30 members of my family in their own house, we lost our best friends, co-workers and colleagues in schools as a result of the constant and repeated Israeli bombing.

Our home, once filled with warmth, now serves as a painful reminder of loss and destruction amidst escalating tensions in Gaza. Urgently seeking safety, my family has been displaced multiple times, now residing in a tent in Rafah City with minimal access to essentials like clean water and proper food.

Enduring over 180 days of war, the fear of bombardment or starvation weighs heavily on us.

The ultimate goal for my family is to be evacuated to Egypt .

However, despite our right to live outside of Gaza, we still need to cover the fees to pass through the border and make onward arrangements , where we can rebuild our lives and resume education.

However, the current barriers, including Egypt's steep exit fees of $5000 per person, make our escape virtually impossible without support. We appeal for compassion and assistance in this dire time of need to raise funds for permissions and travel fees, totaling $40,000, to ensure our family's safety and a chance at a better future.

This is a call to action for anyone who believes in the power of humanity to change lives. It's an opportunity for compassionate hearts to unite and make a tangible difference in the lives of a family that has endured more than anyone should. With your help, we can offer my family a future filled with hope, security, and the opportunity to rebuild in a place where peace is not just a dream, but a reality.
