In need of a decent used vehicle

Hello, My name is Lanette. This is very humbling. I am sorry to say that I have to raise funds for a decent vehicle and a few living expenses. At the end of January my 2006 Dodge Ram's motor blew while helping a family member move from Pa. to Kentucky. My truck was left at a garage in Md. as being a 2006, it is futile to pay a $1,500 towing fee to return it to NJ OR to pay between $6000 and $8000 to replace the engine, which is a cost that I dont have. Because it's a 2006, what will go wrong with it next time?? It's easy for most everyone to get financing when they need a newer vehicle. Again, something I am not able to do at this particular time. I have no savings, no retirement, no nest egg , no 401K and because of that, unfortunately, I have pretty high credit debt. Its hard for me to ask especially since there will be quite a large amount needed. I'm at the end of the line at being able to buy any big ticket item, even a sorely needed one. I do admit that I haven't always made the best financial decisions, no, BUT a lifetime of up to my age of 60 of life events has rocked my finances more than anyone else could even know. It's like an onion with many, many stories between the layers. Please help. I hope there will be some compassion and understanding TY!!
