Hurricane Florence Assistance
Valerie Gamache and her father, originally from New York, were living in Wilmington, North Carolina before the hurricane. Last year, after her father experienced a stroke and a heart attack, Valerie graciously drove to pick her father up from Las Vegas, where he had retired, to live with her in NC.
This past week, ahead of the storm, they were able to temporarily relocate to Atlanta, GA. Needless to say, they were able to bring some things, but could not foresee how devastating this storm will be. It is uncertain how long they will be unable to return to NC since the roads and other utilities are shut down.
Please, if there is anything you can do to help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. Valerie has been a strong advocate and activist for many causes for decades including volunteering during the Haitian Earthquake, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Hurricane Sandy (NY & NJ) . I believe that Karma should shine down on her in her time of need.
