Vardy's surgery

We are once again fostering a severely injured dog.  Vardy is a major medical case,  and he desperately needs help. His front limb needs  to be amputated.  He then needs treatment for Heartworm and will need to be neutered.  

He’s approximately a year old, 58lbs, Heartworm positive and unaltered. He was found in this condition as a stray and taken to the shelter.  

Best Friend Pet Adoption very kindly allowed us to pull him from the shelter, and he will have surgery as soon as possible.  We understand that this is a difficult time, financially, for a lot of us.  Every donation however small will really help Vardy - all monies raised will go directly to his medical care.

Thank you in advance for your contribution.  The volunteers at BFPA work tirelessly to  help unwanted, abandoned dogs and cats, they do not turn away or euthanize an animal due to the expense involved in returning them to good health.  However, they rely totally on the much appreciated donations from people like you.

The road ahead will be long for Vardy,  however, he is young and hopefully with your help and support we can get him through this and into a loving forever home.

Interested in his unusual name? The urban dictionary states that "Vardy is the name of a  mild mannered person who is the best friend you could ever have!"  With that description, we simply couldn't think of a name that suited him more!

Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization that provides foster homes, food, veterinary care and love to cats and dogs that have been lost, abandoned, abused and/or neglected. Our goal is to place these animals into  permanent, loving homes where they will never have to experience being unloved again.
