Hi everyone!
I'm running in the East Gippsland Shire Council elections to help create a better, more sustainable, future for our region.
I need some extra $ to pay for my campaign- printing, advertising, candidate fees etc.
Below is a snap-shot of why I'm running for Council and what believe in.
If you agree with any of these things, please support me and these issues by chipping in whatever you can afford, no matter how small and voting for me if you live in East Gippsland.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

CLIMATE, COMMUNITIES, JOBS, Listen, Care, Act
Embracing new opportunities – solving old problems
FOR A BETTER EAST GIPPSLAND
East Gippsland has had serious challenges lately–drought, bushfires and now Covid-19.
Our Council can help lead the way back to a healthy economy and environment.
Vote for me and I will work for:
Economy & Jobs
Local government contracts to employ local people & support local business
Revive East Gippsland’s tourist economy by promoting our unique natural places and improving infrastructure like toilets, parking, walking & bike tracks.
Advocate for increased funding for Parks Victoria
Create more Shire-driven social enterprises, like the tip shop, that use our rates to create local jobs.
Strong Action on Climate Change
Better preparation for drought and bushfires
Science and sustainability to drive Council land use & development decisions
Create local jobs by investing in renewable energy and land management
Investigate the health of the Gippsland Lakes
Support for Communities – Fairness and Equality
Invest in local creative events, arts and music to make our communities happier, healthier and more vibrant – and create additional jobs.
Improved access for all to sport and recreation facilities
East Gippsland deserves a Council we can trust – with open, transparent processes.
We need a Council we can talk to – a Council that provides genuine support for First Nations people, senior citizens, veterans, homeless people and youth.
Who I Am & Why I’m Standing For Council
I’m a 42 year old father from Eagle Point. I’ve lived and worked in East Gippsland most of my life.
I have an Environmental Science Degree and work for both government and the community sector as a land manager.
I’m frustrated by government decision making. I want a positive future for our region. I will drive a long-term vision for East Gippsland in a cooperative way. Together we can make it better for all. But it won’t just happen.
Please vote for me to make our region a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable community.
Keep in touch, tell me what matters to you and how I can help if elected HERE
I acknowledge the traditional owners of country throughout East Gippsland and pay my respects to them, their culture and their Elders past, present and future.
