The Westport VFW Post 3057 was shut down due to the Covid -19 pandemic. We are a very small post with a small membership.
Our post goals include veterans needs: doctors appt., transportation, services information, emergency help. Community needs: emergency help, kids Christmas party-benefiting over 250 kids, college scholarships. At this time we are comprised of 100% volunteers, we've had 2-3 employees when times were better in the past.
We will be using this money for operating costs to include catching up on
bills dating back to the beginning of the shutdown and future start up costs as well. We are in need of funding now as we have no income.
With Grays Harbor County going into phase 2 of re-opening our club will be able to meet the safety requirements for our members and community. We are looking forward to opening in June to continue helping our Veterans and community.
We would be extremely grateful for your support. We are a small fishing community which has been hit hard by the virus shutdown.
