Women Take The Wheel (Kobiety za Kolko)

We’re women drivers (as seen in BBC, New York Times, People Magazine & many more - read more about us in the MEDIA section below) who provide refugees from Ukraine with safe transport from the UA to safe accommodation. We provide transportation, mainly for women and children.

We started by going only to the PL/UA border, but now we are traveling all over Ukraine. We visited places like Odesa, Mykolayiv, Lviv, Kiyv, Charkov, Zaporozne, and Dniepr - on the way there, we brought hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid and on the way back - we brought to safety more than a thousand women and children & hundreds of animals.

 

Ukrainian women are often afraid to travel with strangers, especially men. They would rather trust another woman. It's about physical and mental safety.

 

We’ve got all there is to help: cars, time and determination. As long as there is money for petrol, we can keep going‼️ The more generous you are, the more miles we do. $100 saves 4 people.

 

 

We are also in the process of refurbishing a building near Warsaw to house women & children from Ukraine - there will be almost 90 places available‼️

 

 

 

Depending on the amount collected, funds will be spent on (in order of priority): Petrol, Bus fees (rental), bus maintenance, basic equipment & maintenance of the bus (wet wipes, water, cleaning), temporary housing in Poland for those refugees that have nowhere to go (KZK Center), other aid for Ukraine - we work with a Mayor of Ukrainian town).
