Wabasha County Sheriff K9 Donations
Donation protected
Wabasha County Sheriff Office and myself, Deputy Rollie, are looking to raise money for a new K9. One of our handlers will be retiring his dog due to medical issues with the dog. I will be sent to school for three months to become a new handler. We are looking to raise money to support this goal. I will be going to St. Paul K9 school March -May for 12 weeks in 2017. Some of the costs include the dog, training/school, equipment, outfitting the squad, and any food or medical expenses for the dog . The initial start up expenses can exceed $20,000. The K-9s in our community are a great help at apprehending suspects and drug prevention. The dog will be a multipurpose dog. Some of the benefits include tracking/ finding missing persons, searching for criminals fleeing the scene of a crime, drug detection, community public relations, ability to go into schools and businesses for assistance/ education and much more.
This campaign will help raise money for the above reasons and to alleviate cost to the tax payers of our county. The K9 program is a commitment by the Sheriffs Office to continue to protect and serve the community of Wabahsa County and surrounding agencies and communities. Your generous donation to this program will go directly to this effort. We truly appreciate any donations to this much needed program. Thank you!
Any businesses that would like to donate, sponsor or host a fundraiser can also contact our office below.
I would also also like to add that people can donate directly to the Wabasha County Sheriffs Office K9 fund instead of online by just saying they would like the donation to go towards the k9 fund. Contact our office at [phone redacted]. Or any of the following emails:
