Walloo is Bleeding Again; Let's Heal the Wounds
=============
Oromos of Walloo are once again targeted for attack by Abiy Ahmed. A sustained attack by the ANRS Special Forces and their vigilantes, aka Fannoo, had been poured on the people of Walloo Oromos for the last three years. For the last three years, they have sustained, and survived, brutal attacks on civilians, their properties, their farms, and their towns (some of which have now been razed to the ground).
After Abiy's forces have been defeated in the Deessee and Kombolcha fronts and especially after the people of Kamisee liberated its towns and rural districts, in collaboration with W*B*O and TDF, the regime has launched a vindictive aerial bombing in reprisal.
This past week alone, we've been informed that there has been over 26 rounds of drone attacks targeting civilians (predominantly children, women, and senior citizens) in towns such as Kamisee, Baatii, Dawwee, Sanbatee, Caffaa Roobit, etc. From the attack in one small town alone, at least 38 persons have been confirmed to have died, and over 52 persons have been injured (now being treated in hospitals).
This is done by the regime because the people came out to the streets of Kamisee in droves to celebrate the liberation of their town from Abiy Ahmed's fascist forces.
At the moment, Abiy's forces are steadily retreating in defeat from Walloo and fleeing, humiliated, in the direction of North Shoa Zone of ANRS.
Nevertheless, they and their drones have left huge scars on the people. Residents of most towns had fled their homes to hide in the mountains and caves there. Those whose houses had been burnt down have long been left without shelters, having to live their lives in their farms.
Walloo is bleeding again as is all of Oromia. Walloo is wonded. Children have been rendered orphans. Families have been torn apart. Towns have been destroyed. People have been rendered homeless en masse. Farms have been rendered baren.
We need to help them heal their wounds. We need to help provide for their children. We need to help reunite families. We need to help them reconstruct their towns. We need to rebuild their homes.
We need to help them provide for basic necessities such as food drinking water, and medicines. We need to help them survive. As the JIRRA Family, and as Oromos as a whole, we need to be there for them. We need to say "JIRRA!" to them.
Let them live. Help them survive. Let's heal their wounds. Let's rebuild their lives, reunite their families, reconnect communities, and reconstruct their towns--out of the ashes, as it were. Let us help them begin again.
