I hope you are doing well.

In the fall of 2023 I was reflecting on my life, contemplating my mortality and reminiscing about the generation that came before us. It is my understanding that some of them do not have headstones. Our generation are the elders in the family now and we have a great responsibility to honor those who came before us, to ensure that their resting places are properly marked for the family to visit and honor their lives, which is impossible without headstones.

The three known family members needing headstones include:

I have personally contacted family representatives in Ohio, Alabama, and other parts of the country to help determine if there are other family members in unmarked graves. Others have volunteered to survey known resting places of families to confirm that they have been honored with markers as well.

If you know other family members with unmarked graves, please let us know, and we will add them here and increase our goal for the Walton Family Memorial GoFundMe page.
