Water for Iqaluit, Nunavut
Donation protected
Less than two weeks ago Canada marked its first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour the Lost Children and Survivors of Canada's residential schools, their families and communities. As a nation and a people we promised to do better, to be better. We have the chance to make good on that pledge. The Inuit have continually suffered from food insecurity since they were moved to settlements and now a lack of drinking water due to contamination. Now it is our chance to help our family of the North. A litre of drinking water is costing $9, as stated by the mayor of Iqaluit Kenny Bell on the CBC. People can’t afford to feed their families and now they are further compromised by not being able to access drinking water. Please consider donating to send drinking water to Canada's people of the North. All funds will be directed to Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre for the purpose of supplying drinking water to the community.
