The #WeAreNotSAM campaign exposes one of the biggest cover-ups of all time – on the scale of the tobacco and asbestos frauds!

This time, it has to do with our smart phones.

It has to do with the way the multi-trillion dollar telecommunications industry is getting away with treating us like dummies, and putting our kids and planet at risk by using mobile phone safety standards that involve testing on a plastic dummy head called SAM!!

MEET SAM

Yes, you heard right. Mobile phones, including the 5G phones on the market now, are tested for 6 minutes on a plastic dummy head filled with liquid.

This dummy is called a Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin - aka SAM.

This is not a biological test done for REAL PEOPLE. No skin, no organs, no bones, no DNA, no cells.

How the test works: The SAM plastic head is filled with liquid to see if it heats up by 1 degree Celsius within a 6-minute call (sometimes 30 minutes). If the liquid inside dummy SAM doesn’t heat up by more than 1 degree Celsius, it's deemed safe, and millions of these “tested” smart phones go for sale.

A few details worth noting about SAM

- The dummy is meant to represent us aka the average human, except that there is nothing average about SAM.

- SAM’s head (which is what is being tested) is based on a 100kg, six-foot tall adult male military recruit. Does that describe you? We didn’t think so.

- Only 3% of the population fit the stereotype of SAM.

- SAM doesn’t represent children, women or the elderly. Many people have smaller and thinner skulls than SAM, and research shows children absorb 150% more radiation that this dummy SAM.

What sort of “safety” oversight only protects 3% of the population?

SAM is not the real test dummy, we are!

Let's be super clear about one thing: We Are Not SAM is NOT against technology. We want to ensure the so-called "safety testing" for phones is NOT rigged, and that there is accountability and transparency from regulators, manufacturers and the industry.

When profits trump truth and safety, it’s time to think critically.

The reason there is so much technology available to us is because of SAM. Testing on a non-biological dummy means that nothing is actually being tested and Big Telco and Big Tech can continue to exist and profit off a tech-addicted world.

Our mission is to humanise this tech-addicted world we live in.

Rather than complying, it’s time to take radical responsibility. We want to educate you about safe technology practices that don’t put you and your family at risk.

The We Are Not SAM campaign has run a successful four year campaign to date. We have received generous donations that have kept the campaign going. World wide scientists and whistleblowers have come forward and exposed lies and corruption in the telco industry.

Our Biggest Win is the Landmark Ruling. We worked with EHTrust, the top EMF scientists worldwide as well as Children’s Health Defense (CHD) to bring awareness about SAM dummy testing. In Aug 2021, a landmark ruling in a case brought by CHD against the FCC, ruled that the commission’s health guidelines related to non-cancer harms from 5G and wireless-based technologies were capricious, arbitrary and not evidence-based. Ultimately proving that this SAM dummy test is both fraudulent and negligent. That is why we advocate for safe and meaningful use of technology.

Through creative artwork, content and messaging (art is a revolutionary act) being executed through social media platforms like Instagram, we have created worldwide exposure about the faults of the SAM dummy test.
