Wendy Rae Memorial Fund
This fundraiser is to help raise funds for Wendy's son, Conrad Michael.
For those that may not have known Wendy, she touched the lives of every person she ever came in to contact with. She was an exceptional human being who put others first. She was a living breathing symbol of the golden rule. She treated others with kindness and compassion. In her life, the things that truly mattered the most to her was that family came first, her friends a close second and her love for animals was not far behind.
Wendy loved to party and her favorite spot was Timeout Tavern in Newport. She always looked out for those partying and made sure those leaving from the bar that had been drinking weren't attempting to drive themselves home. She seemed to especially take an interest in looking after young marines that would come into the establishment, often times offering them rides home with the designated driver or taxi that was carrying her and her friends home.
Wendy was an exemplary person. Sure, like the rest of us, she had made her fair share of mistakes but her character was golden. This world has truly lost a wonderfully bright soul in one of the most heinous acts imaginable. She will be sorely missed by so many both here in the States and abroad.
