Funeral expenses, Medical bills for Gayle

Unfortunately my mother passed away this morning, July 29th, at 2:15am, peacefully in her sleep. She’s not in any more pain and can finally be with her beloved father and niece whom she loved so much. Any donations now will be towards her funeral expenses and to help our family get through this difficult time. Thank you all so much.

Hi, my name is Sean Canant, and I’m fundraising for my mother, Gayle Bowman. On June 26th of this year, she went to the ER for what we thought was just a bad headache and a slight shortness of breath. My mother is no stranger to going through this kind of pain but she has ALWAYS been a fighter. She has always been my hero and my reason to keep going. We got some not so good news and since then we’ve been in and out of the ER for the past 3 weeks. In her CT scans that they took in order to rule out a bleed, they found a large mass in her lung. A mass that has been there and been growing since 2016. She had been told by her pulmonologist who saw the mass that it wasn’t anything she needed to worry about. I truly wish that was the case. On top of that my mom has been living with a very rare blood disease called Polycythemia Vera, which complicates things. She is scheduled to have a biopsy later this week and we will find out more then and will update as much as we can. My mom, for those who have had the pleasure of meeting her will tell you, is one of the sweetest, most kind hearted people you’d ever meet. No matter what she gets put through, what curveballs get thrown into her life she is ALWAYS smiling and cracking jokes and loving and caring about the people close to her. She is the first to drop whatever she is doing and help someone she loves in need. Whether it be family or a coworker or even a friend of mine. As you all know and probably have experienced the medical bills, and even just the regular bills are already piling up. We are doing the best we can with the cards we’ve been dealt but anything, ANYTHING at all you could do to help our family is more appreciated than you could ever know. Even if that is just sharing this for others to see. Our family will forever be in your debt.
