Wheelchair for 70yo w. Severe Respiratory Issue

Donation protected

Fundraising for an electric wheelchair for my mom (Jeannine) who is 70-years of age. She recently lost her job and medical insurance because the company does not want to deal with any potential health issues (GA being a work-at-will State with no real recourse as an employee).

Jeannine has a lung condition called sarcoidosis and she is on oxygen full-time.

Sarcoidosis is a rare disease caused by inflammation. It usually occurs in the lungs and lymph nodes, but it can occur in almost any organ. Sarcoidosis in the lungs is called pulmonary sarcoidosis. It causes small lumps of inflammatory cells in the lungs and makes it incredibly difficult to breathe.

Watching my mom deteriorate physically at a rapid rate has taken its toll on not only my mom but the entire family. Her normal oxygen level should be at 90%, but walking not even 20-feet her oxygen level will drop down to anywhere from 30 - 60% where she will stop and gasp for air (often having to sit down) until she can recuperate (I have physically seen her fingers turn blue). She is effectively limited for any mobility without any assistance.

Jeannine needs a wheelchair that does not require any physical/cardiovascular strength (impact on breathing) and that will accommodate a large oxygen tank, foldable and light weight for the small confines of her home.

Any assistance, no matter how small, to improve her life and mobility would be greatly appreciated.
