Yes, we have reached the goal (yay!) - - but if we keep it going we can get them a lunch as well...keep the momentum going!!
Historic snowfall has caused a lot of challanges in Winchester and beyond. We're all doing the very best we can as we rise to the occasion of navigating roadways, ice dams and snow removal.
Winchester DPW and the private plows they contract have been out night & day - nearly nonstop. Historic snowfall means extraordinary snow removal challenges and these men & woman (on the roads, in the plows, in the heavy machines and in the DPW office) continue to rally to the cause. They are working in the daylight hours and all through the night - plowing & widening as late as 3:30am & beyond.
Please join me in thanking them and acknowledging the continued efforts. I am hoping to raise a few hundred dollars to buy a great, big Dunkin' Donuts gift card for the men & women of DPW*...a small thank you for their tireless efforts and to let them know the residents are behind them & appreciate them a great deal.
