Womb Of Love 2018 Tarpmahal Setup
This may be a bit presumptious of me but there seems to be some enthusiasm amongst the broader Womb Of Love community to fund a basic tarp setup from Jaes. So I felt to put this campaign up and see if it gets traction.
From Jaes:
- Basic tarp set up including power and water (at less than half the usual price) $500 - Acheived!!
- Stretch goal: ground covers, rugs and cushions +$300
- Stretch goal: fabrics for walls +$100
- Stretch goal: ingredients for a cocktail party and smoothies
We have been offerred the use of the awesome sound system from last year by Tom Valmadre thanks very much so I have cancelled the strech goal of hiring sound gear.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ALL THE FOLLOWING:
Previous Womb experiences have involved a few people putting in a lot of work. Thanks loads you beautiful lovelies, we love you!
If we go ahead with the Womb this year we will need lots of people putting a little bit of work.
In order for the womb to run smoothly we will need to have at least 2 action teams. I suggest that each team would benefit greatly from a dedicated team leader and support person, ideally with relevant experience.
1 - (essential) Reserving Womb space on Thursday - Setting up tents and tarps to cover the prime real estate that the womb occupies. Cars to be parked around the womb perimiter. Ideally the team leader and support would be there on Wednesday.
This team needs to include many people who are prepared to come earlier than the 12 noon opening of the gates on Thursday. If you come later than that I suggest approaching the entrance from Lexton and trying to push in to the line somewhere. If you can't come early can you get your tent and any spare tarps to a team member?
2 - (essential) Final tidy and prep for packdown, leave no trace etc.
3 - (potential) a posse of cocktail angels for our famous cocktail party. Funds can be raised for this through the GoFundMe campaign.
The rest of the roles and responsibilities can be done by EVERYONE. This includes:
1 - Decorating: bring lights, fabrics, rugs, cushions, costumes to share, items for an altar, anything you can to help make the Womb burst with colour, class, spirit and lushness. Can someone bring a large whiteboard? No one will be in charge of this so please collect all your items before the final pack down.
2 - Tidying will be everyones responsibility. We shouldn't need to organise teams. If you see something out of place then sort it out.
3 - Love, lushness and sacred intentions! The reason we love the womb is that it's a beautiful and safe space to revel, rejuvenate, recharge, connect and launch from. We are all responsible for creating that love! Meet your fellow wombmates! Especially if they look like the could use some support.
Suggested donation is $25 if you would like to camp with us.
