WE NEED YOUR HELP AGAIN THIS YEAR!
In a year that's shown the worst of humanity, we need show the best of Ireland and our genorosity children enduring direct provision this Christmas
Times are tough for everyone, but imagine spending your childhood in a Direct Provision centre through all of this. For many of these kids, Christmas can feel like just another difficult day. We’re here to change that—and we need your help to make it happen.
Together, We’ve Made a Huge Difference.
Thanks to all you sound heads, we've been able to demonstrate the generosity of Irish people to thousands of children over the years. Since 2018, what began with gifts for 100 kids in Clondalkin has grown into a powerful community effort, reaching children in Direct Provision across Ireland. Every year, our collective effort has grown, and with it, the impact you’ve had on so many young lives.
As one 7 year old told us from a centre last year "thank you for not forgetting about us".
Our Goal for 2024: A Brighter Christmas for Children in Dublin’s Direct Provision Centers
This year, in partnership with the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI), we’re setting a target to raise €60,000 to ensure every child in Direct Provision in Dublin has a special gift this Christmas—something that brings a sense of belonging.
With your help, we can continue this legacy of solidarity and kindness.
How You Can Help
Due to the volume of gifts, we’re primarily accepting donations online this year to help streamline purchasing and delivery. If you're local to Bang Bang or Bohemian FC in Phibsboro, you can also drop off new, unwrapped gifts (please, no large or second-hand items).
Every Donation Matters
With €30 per child, we’ll be working with Smyth's Toys and voucher providers to ensure every child has a meaningful gift. Bohemian FC, Bang Bang, and MASI will handle distribution, while DHL Express Ireland has once again committed to delivering gifts directly to the centres.
A Better Future for All
Direct Provision is inhumane and degrading—it needs to end. Until it does, let’s come together to make this season a little brighter for these kids. Join us in showing them they’re valued, remembered, and welcome here in Ireland.
