Hello,
I am Yvonne Smith, Diabetic, diagnosed in 2001 with End Stage Renal Disease. In May of 2004, I received a Pancreas and Kidney transplant. On November 28, 2011 my Pancreas stopped functioning and now I am back on insulin and my Kidney is slowly shutting down. I am now in dire need of a new Kidney, and in order to receive one I need to show that I will be able to pay my portion of the cost after the insurance company pays, in addition to my portion of the copays for the over 32 anti-rejection medications.
Your generous support is requested in assisting me with raising funds for a second Kidney transplant operation. My family and friends are putting together other fundraising events as well as this Go Fund Me Page. On Saturday June 24, 2017 8:00 a.m. at the American Tobacco Trail near Southpoint Mall in Durham, N.C. a Run/Bike/Walk-a-Thon is being sponsored in my honor to raise funds for my transplant. Registration is now open and will remain open until June 23, 2017.
