Chile Strong, Rallying for Our Family.

On Friday February 2nd, 2024, a massive fire ripped through my family’s hometown of Viña Del Mar. My family lost so much. We lost my auntie Isabel’s home who helped raise us. My cousins, aunts, uncles, and my childhood home were all lost in the fire as well. Unlike in Canada, support is limited and the government provides limited assistance even in emergencies like this. Knowing I have so many close family members that are now left without anything, no clothes, nowhere to sleep and nowhere to eat, my siblings and I knew we had to do something. That’s where this fundraiser comes in. We have set a starting goal of $5000 to help provide some immediate relief to our family as well as help rebuild a few of their homes. We’re going to start with rebuilding my cousin Anthony’s home and go from there. We’re hoping that you, our friends, family, and everyone in between who sees this will see that every contribution no matter how big or small does help make a world of difference. Our cousin Maricela is an architect in Chile and is going to help us with the rebuild so that we are as efficient as possible with the money raised.
