Doug Super passed away. Arrangements at this time are unknown. Uncle Bobby was with him for his final moments.

Because of your generous donation, Doug's final arrangements have been made & paid for. Any money left over will be given to his remaining family members, as I believe that is what Doug would insist I do.
I will leave the GoFundMe up if anyone wants to throw a few bucks in the hat for his remaining family. They are having a tough time and Doug wouldn't like that.

The goal of this Go Fund Me has become to purchase a cremation & urn for Superman. I estimate this to cost approximately $3000. Any suggestions are welcome, I'm using Google here for my info.
On Wednesday Feb 28, 2024 Doug was found by his Roomates in bad shape. Emergency response was called immediately and he is currently on a respirator at HCA Florida Park West. Doug is quite a character and his medical & family history are anomalous, which makes diagnoses difficult. He's also not good at asking for help. This is really not my place nor do I know exactly what to ask for. I'm here for 3 reasons:
1) Doug is one of us and if we don't help him, there is nobody else. As far as I can tell, we are his family, such as we are.
2) Doug would never ask for help. I'm 100% convinced he would starve in an alley, before he asked for a piece of bread. To the contrary, Doug is possibly the most charitable person I've ever met. To a fault, he will give and give and give.
3) Despite Doug not being a perfect person, he is my friend. As I get older, I wish I had been a better friend so many times. I can't bear anymore regret.
I'm not a medical expert and it's not my place to say this on this public forum, but I know Doug is in grave shape. I have no idea what he needs or if it even helps at this point.
If we raise a few bucks, we can at least send some flowers. A thousand and we can pay his rent for a month. If we get more, we can hope we get an opportunity to help rehabilitate him.

Most likely he will not accessible tonight and they are limiting visitation to "limited family". Uncle Bobbie is there with him currently. Uncle Bobbie could use someone to chat with, so click here to message VVV or cut and paste
