A beautiful mother find peace in final resting place

This is the story of Abigail “Gail” Marcotte, born on 11/19/1951 in New York.

She was a beautiful soul, inside and out.

A mother to 4, she was a hardworking, loving & attentive parent. Her personality would brighten any room she was in.

As many of us know, life can be filled with happiness but can also be filled with tragedy.

Her story has been a very hard road, filled with much pain. Tragically, she survived a hit and run as a child, survived 2 near-death experiences, and lost her husband, home and son along the way.

She was a true survivor, always on the move.

Originally born in NY and resided in Portland, OR her last years. She was a charitable soul that would give the shirt off her back, always helping the communities experiencing homelessness.

Her journey ended on 5/17/2024 during a trip on the East Coast in a most sad way.

She passed during transit on a train through Virginia.

She is stuck on this journey.

We are trying to gather funds to get to her location together and have her a proper burial.

We were not prepared for this and are trying to

gather what we can to have her buried in her final resting place in the East Coast.

Her family lineage goes back to New England from New York, Massachusetts to Virginia of founders and families of, so it makes sense that is where she went home.

Unfortunately, we did not expect this end so soon!

It pains us to ask for this help in such hard times, but anything that can help us have a proper send off would be greatly appreciated.

Any money left from this will be donated to her greatest cause, the communities experiencing homelessness. And any cause that has to do with saving turtles, her most beloved!
