A bench to honor and remember Terry

We are so grateful for all who donated!

So far, we have purchased a bench for Eisenhower Park. The initial purchase came with 10 years of maintenance. We purchased an additional 20 years of maintenance as well. John Theissen and the John Theissen Children’s Foundation meant a lot to Terry. We will be purchasing something for the Foundation and hanging a plaque in honor of him and the donation.

We will be holding some sort of ceremony, open to all, for the installation of the bench sometime in December and will get the word out!

Update

Thanks to all who have donated so far! We are getting closer by the day. Mara, Sami and I will be meeting Terry’s sister, Bonnie at Eisenhower Park mid-month to meet with. Parks rep to choose a location for the bench! We will keep you updated with plans as they develop!

Mara D'Amico, Sami Saad and I are helping Terry’s sister and her family create a way to honor and memorialize Terry’s impact on all of us in the running and multi-sport communities.

We’d like to purchase a bench at Eisenhower Park plus an add’l 10 to 20 years of maintenance and a plaque.

We have one more idea in the works to help honor a project close to Terry’s heart.

We also will have a dedication celebration for all.
