I want to raise money for my sister Rebecca. As some of you know she has had an on-going back problem for as long as I can remember and more recently she has developed a neurological disorder on her right side. She also has Fibromyalgia.
In addition to this she has unexplained falls that mean she spends most days walking with a stick. A recent fall caused her to land on her back and has exasperated the original problem severely leaving her immobile. A trip to A&E left her distraught when all she was given was painkillers that barely touched the pain and given no answers or long term to solution to this problem. As her sister I can’t sit back anymore and accept that she will always just have to be in this much pain. She hasn’t been able to leave the house in two weeks!
I should also point out that Rebecca is a single mum to the worlds craziest, most energetic, lively, spirited, wonderful boys - but they need their mum to be able to move! These last two weeks have been as tough on them as they have been on her. They are becoming more and more frustrated and unsettled. They hate seeing their mummy fall over.
Family and friends have been incredibly supportive - making meals, doing school runs, etc and we are so grateful. But now I’m going to ask for a different kind of support...
A private clinic in Peterborough who specialise in spinal injuries can see Rebecca at the beginning of the week and give her an MRI, Diagnosis and FINALLY & HOPEFULLY some answers (and solutions) to her problems . We will have to wait months for the equivalent on the NHS and a mum who currently can’t move, can’t wait that long - her boys shouldn’t have to wait that long! So we are asking for donations to help Rebecca pay for a consultation and MRI at this clinic.
We love Rebecca and her boys so much. She is an incredible mum, sister, aunty and daughter; a beautiful person, inside and out and we’d be so grateful for your help in drastically improving her circumstances.
