A Birthday Wish for Rocco-No more 30 foot ladders
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Leah, and I'm fundraising for my father, Robert Staffier, or, as most people know him, Rocco.
Rocco is turning 80 this Sunday, March 12th! As many of his friends and family know, he has also been battling cancer. He was diagnosed with Marginal Zone Splenic Lymphoma. On June 2nd last year, it was a miracle that he survived a splenectomy. Since then, he has continued to undergo many treatments for his cancer, including infusion therapy and a mixture of other drugs. Through all this, he continued painting houses whenever he had the strength, climbing those 30-foot ladders! Why? Because he needs to for financial reasons, and for those of you who know Rocco, he has a hard time being still!
Unfortunately, the drugs he is on are causing many terrible side effects that leave him weak, unsteady, and in pain. His condition is no longer conducive to painting houses and climbing ladders! Meanwhile, his truck is broken down, and he needs help.
Rocco doesn't like asking for help, so I'm asking for him. I'm sure he has painted many of your homes for a fraction of what most people would charge (he still charges what he did in the 70s!).
Rocco is known for always helping others whenever he can. Now, I'm asking that you help him with a small donation. This would allow him to get his truck fixed so he can at least drive to the Winthrop landing, listen to the oldies station, and look at the ocean.
Thank you for considering.
much love,
leah
