Prayers and Support Needed During this Season

For more than a year, Cheryl (my older sister) has been fighting chronic pain in the pudendal nerve. She has gone through multiple procedures and has had three different surgeries. She has had a complete nerve block which was unsuccessful, and the latest procedure installed a nerve stimulator which has also not worked and now has to be removed. Right now she is bedridden and the doctors are talking about putting in a morphine drip.  Every surgery, every doctor's visit and co-pay, traveling expenses to doctors several hours away, and every medication has been financially weighing on them for over a year now. Cheryl had to quit her job which has also put a strain on their finances.
Anyone who knows Cheryl and George knows that they are such hard workers and have served faithfully in their church. Cheryl's joy of running their food bank continues when she's able to bear the pain -which she does because she loves to see people in need be blessed. My wish for them this Christmas is that even among the pain and stress, that they will know how much they are loved. Christmas is Cheryl's favorite time of the year - not because she loves to get gifts but because she LOVES to give gifts. She would never ask for money from anyone. That's not who they are, but I believe it would encourage her heart to know how much people love and appreciate her with any amount you can give this Christmas. We totally understand if you can't give, but please continue to pray for Cheryl's healing and ask that God bring them financial and physical healing as they go into the New Year.
