A Blessing To Someone Else

Hi, my name is Brittany Carroll and I am apart of the Acts 1:8 team at Grand Saline Main Street Baptist Church. We do several outreach activities a year, but the most expensive, and time consuming one is for Christmas. This year we have taken on 35 Angel Tree children from our town, and also a town over from ours Fruitvale. We as a group decide on a child limit, and then we shop the best deals to get the most bang for our buck. We have a $200 limit for each child. As you all know everything is expensive these days, and $200 does not go far, but we also want to help as many kids as we can. This year there was well over 100 kids just in the Grand Saline school district that were on the Angel tree. We know times are hard for so many with or without COVID, and we love being able to take the burden even just a little bit off of a family in need. The kids are asked to put 3 toy wishes, and they have a section where they also fill out their clothing/shoe size as well. The whole reason I am asking for donations is for the next Christmas year so that we could possibly get more children, and raise the allowance per child to $300. There are so many kids that just want a game console such as a Nintendo switch, or a nice new bike. Most of the time it is not possible to even get a game console because of pricing, and when it comes to bikes it literally leaves hardly no money for anything else. I just want kids to have a great Christmas and when they go to school to brag about what Santa got them they can say it is just as good as what others have received. We all know as adults that Christmas is not all about getting presents, but children do not understand this concept. Please help our ministry raise money to put smiles on these deserving kids faces please. Any amount big or small is so appreciated, and every single donation is a tax write off. We can mail anyone a tax receipt that would like one.
