Hello there,

Well, I've been asked to tell my story, but I may have to summarize as we will be here for quite some time if I don't! Some have called me a bit of an enigma, others have just called me a little odd. As it says in the title, I am an Opera Singer with Cystic Fibrosis. If you are unaware of what CF is, it's a lifelong genetic disease that affects 1 in every 3,000 babies. It damages mainly our lungs, digestive system and other organs, so naturally, when people find out about it, they get rather surprised! It's like having a one legged Ballet dancer! Thankfully, due to advances in medicine, to which I will be eternally grateful, I am able to control it and live a fairly normal life.

I have just finished my Bachelors degree at the Royal Academy of Music and am now at the start of my Operatic career. With this GoFundMe page, I want to raise some funding to help me get to the auditions and jobs in and around Europe. Naturally, after graduating, finding a job that can be flexible around my going away is proving to be rather difficult. As I live in Spain, my money is coming from translations and my Classical Music hour on the local radio station, but sadly, it isn't enough to get my flights to various auditions both in Europe and internationally. Any help given will be thoroughly appreciated, for not only would you be helping me get the start I need in this career, but you would also be helping to also raise awareness about CF, and with every donation, I will give 10% to the CF Trust UK.

As corny as it may sound, through my singing and story, I want to help and inspire anyone who wants to pursue a career in the arts with a disability, because if I can sing opera with a lung function of 68% (after treatment), then you can truly do anything you set your mind to.
