A Bowl of Hope: Special Foods for Ukraine

With the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, in the early spring Galina Itskovich established "A Bowl of Hope," a public initiative to send special foods and vitamins to children and adults with disabilities in Ukraine. Since then, this small group of volunteers has purchased and delivered approximately 370 individual food packages, among them packages to recently deoccupied territories. Currently, we are collecting monetary donations to buy this dietary produce to then ship it directly to children and adults in dire need. We are also looking to forge relationships with producers and distributors of gluten-free and lactose-free foods who deliver to Eastern Europe.
