A Bridge for Joe Stoto and His Family
Donation protected
In February of 2018, Joe Stoto went to the ER with what he thought was just severe back pain. After a battery of tests, Joe heard the words that no one ever wants to hear- “You have cancer”.
After many months of difficult treatment for stage 3 Non- Hodgkins’s Lymphoma and numerous complications, Joe received the wonderful news that he was in remission. He kicked cancer’s butt!! Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of his health issues. Despite beating cancer, Joe continues to face multiple medical conditions including the debilitating autoimmune disorder Scleroderma.
Despite being faced with these challenges, Joe has maintained his amazing fun-loving and positive attitude. Every day he wakes up motivated to continue to be the wonderful husband to his wife Maureen, father to his children, family member and friend that we all know and love.
During this whole journey, one of the most difficult challenges that Joe has had to face is the inability to work. Due to his medical conditions, he has had to very reluctantly apply for permanent disability benefits. He had submitted his application for processing when his paperwork was lost during the recent government shutdown. He is currently having to begin the entire lengthy process from the beginning.
As everyone knows, having medical bills coupled with the everyday expenses of a family is extremely stressful, as well as being detrimental to your health. Anyone who knows Joe and Maureen know that they are the first ones to help family and friends and would be the last ones to ask for help for themselves.
We therefore are asking your help to support Joe and Maureen by lessening their financial challenges. We are looking to help Joe and Maureen be able to smile more, enjoy time with their kids, family, friends and pets more, and enjoy nights by the fire pit more by easing their stress of paying the bills. Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated. In addition, please feel free to share this link with anyone who you think may be inclined to help. The more people that we can reach, the more we will be able to help Joe and Maureen.
