A brighter future for Qhobosheane Primary School

Donation protected
In may I will be lucky enough to be visiting Qhobosheane Primary School in Soweto, we are currently in the process of building a kitchen for the school, the only meals some of these children receive are at the school so it is essential we help make this better and easier!!
We’re determined to transform Qhobosheane Primary School over a five year partnership and below will tell you a little more about our plans.
Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the World”. By partnering with the Adopt-A-School programme in South Africa, our purpose is to create amazing learning and teaching environments in disadvantaged schools, for people to have a brighter future.
The school itself was built in 1966 and supports over 430 children aged 6-13, over a third of which are deemed orphaned or vulnerable. As a non-fee paying school, funds are very limited. The classrooms are in desperate need of refurbishment; many have damp and the classrooms are dark and cold in the winter months. There are no science facilities to support learning and no library to speak of. The kitchen is simply a small shipping container with no refrigerator. And yet, the amazing staff prepare lunch for every single child on a daily basis. For some pupils, this is the only meal they receive all day.
Through our fundraising, the Flight Centre Foundation in Europe has already replaced all the broken windows that the school simply could not afford. But there’s a lot more to do!
The plans for the kitchen have just been approved and the works starts this week, every little helps and I aim to get to my target of £1800 by the end of April!! I like a challenge!!
I will be walking 10,000 steps everyday in April and your support will mean the world to me but more importantly it can change the world of the students at Qhobosheane school who all want the best possible education!

Do something good today!!! :) thank you so much for reading this far and Thank You for your kind donation xx
