Help Hector.A Call for Immediate Community Support
Family, friends, and our Sage Hill Community.
This past Wednesday, September 25th, our beloved Hector Rojas was brutally assaulted and robbed while on a trip to visit his grandson in Ecuador. Hector was left unconscious with severe head injuries for over eight hours.
Upon discovery, Hector was taken to a public Ecuadorian hospital for treatment of extensive intracranial pressure due to hemorrhaging. Unfortunately, Hector’s U.S. medical insurance will not cover his medical expenses out of the country. As a result, he was transferred to a private, for-pay hospital for triage and immediate neurosurgery.
Currently, Hector is in an induced coma and in critical condition. The extent of his brain injuries is not yet known. What we do know is Hector needs our collective help to cover the cost of his intensive medical care. The urgency of this need cannot be understated.
Many know Hector as a family member. Others have grown to know and love Hector as a friend and the owner of our neighborhood Sage Hill barber shop. He is a shining and joyous figure within our community.
Now is the moment to demonstrate what true love, friendship, and loyalty means, and how as a community, we take care of those we love within our circle.

The goal of $12,000 is so small in comparison to the pricelessness of Hector’s life and health. Whatever you can contribute will be sincerely appreciated by Hector, his family, and friends.
