A Celebration of a Son's Life

Our beloved "TJ", Tavares Demieco Benjamin, Jr, tragically passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at just 21 years old. He was unfortunately shot & killed. His family and friends are beyond devastated over this unexpected and horrific loss, to say the least. As family, I know the immediate family has very limited funds and is unable to give TJ a proper funeral service he rightfully deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. TJ attended Gaither High School in Tampa, FL. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew, new uncle and loyal friend. He was totally devoted to his sweet mother, who he loved and adored tremendously, so she is understandably sickened over losing her son. TJ was the youngest of 5 siblings. His family and friends will miss him immensely as they begin the process of healing without him here. TJ was a hard worker for PDQ, as well as up until recently with the United States Postal Service, and took pride in his work as a young man. His loving family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service, so during this difficult time, I am reaching out to the community as they desperately need our help! I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of TJ's funeral so I have started a funeral fundraiser to help this family in need. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help this family during this difficult time. Any funds received over and above the amount of the funeral expenses will be given to his mother, Michele, to help her with any incidentals and other expenses on behalf of TJ.
