Rick Jackson passed away peacefully after long battle with cancer, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the young age of 65 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Rick was a husband, father, son, brother, business man, and above all - a friend to all. After becoming laid off in the early 80s from ACF, with his entrepreneurial spirit Rick started his business: Powerline Auto Parts which lasted for 33 years until he was forced to close after an unrelated physical injury.
Rick loved photography and inspirational poetry and stories, and loved sharing it with his 5,000 friends on Facebook. If it weren’t for Facebook’s limits, he would have friended 1000s more. In person, he loved to regale his family and friends with his lifetime of entertaining stories.
In his later years, with many rising health care costs, Rick became behind on property taxes, losing his Deering Ohio property where he intended to move his business. He also fell behind on the taxes on his primary home as his illness progressed and he struggled to keep up with rising expenses.
His dedicated wife Connie has been a full time caregiver for many years, and is now left with a new, and unfamiliar chapter of her life without her husband of 45 years. Rick leaves behind only a modest social security benefit, his home, and a modest life insurance policy. Any donations will be used to pay down funeral expenses, paying off any back taxes, and any administrative costs resulting from his passing.
Should the fundraiser raise more than the requested amount, the remainder shall be spent on repairs or improvements to his primary home, or possibly setting up a website to share with the world his passion for beauty with printed copies of his photographic art.
