A Celebration of the Life of Harold Childs
Donation protected
Harold Childs, affectionately known as 'The Chief' was a rarity in the 70's record biz, an African American man handpicked by Jerry Moss to oversee the pop promotion department at A&M Records.
A fashion forward stylist, always immaculately dressed, Harold spent more than 50 years in the music industry including labels Warner Brothers, Polygram and Quest Records (Quincy Jones).
He was a 'consummate record man beloved by many, a people person with a great sense of humor, passionate about his artist and with an innate instinct for breaking records.
We will celebrate Harold's life in person and online on Sunday, April 21st, at The Moss Theater at The Herb Alpert Educational Village, 3131 Olympic Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90404.
From 5 - 8 PM!
A Go Fund Me has been set up to pay for the event with any extra funds going to the United Negro College Fund. Please support us in honoring Harold.
