A Challenge for Boise Pride’s Future

In 2019, with the support of Hotbox Farms and Albertson’s, you helped us light the Idaho State Capitol building and deliver a bold, colorful, and brighter than ever 30th anniversary Boise Pride Festival. This year our world looks quite different and so does Pride. We have re-imagined what Pride could look like, bringing that celebration to the virtual space and into your homes. But there is an opportunity for that highly visible representation of our community to come to light once again at the steps of the Capitol building.

Our friends at Hotbox Farms have stepped again this year and want to shine the Pride rainbow colors on the Capitol building. But they have a special challenge for our community.

The COVID-19 pandemic has placed significant limitations on arts & culture nonprofit organizations, especially those that rely on events and community gatherings for programming and fundraising. Hotbox Farms believes Boise Pride is a vital organization to the LGBTQ+ and allied communities of Boise and across Idaho. So they have issued a call to match their support to help ensure the future of Boise Pride and sustain our efforts to promote unity, celebrate the diversity of identities in Boise, and continue on the path to amplify all LGBTQ+ voices and seek ways to advance social issues important to everyone in the queer community.
