Help Save My Son Yousef

Dear Friend,
I know you've likely come across countless campaigns and may feel overwhelmed by the many stories of need. But I hold on to the hope that you might find it in your heart to help me. My name is Samer, and I am from Gaza City. My once-beautiful home and thriving business, symbols of a good life, now lie in ruins, destroyed by the ongoing war.

I am writing to share my story and seek your compassion and support for my little boy, Yousef.
Yousef is just 3 years old and battling a critical liver condition called grade VI esophageal varices, caused by a clot in his portal vein. This condition is life-threatening as it leads to sudden and severe bleeding from swollen veins, causing him to vomit large amounts of blood.

The bleeding is extremely dangerous and nearly impossible to stop without immediate medical intervention.

The danger looms as long as the clot remains, blocking the vein and worsening his condition. Yousef must undergo a specialized surgery to remove the clot and address the esophageal varices. This surgery is the only way to save his life and prevent the recurring risk of fatal bleeding. Unfortunately, the scheduled surgery was canceled due to the conflict, leaving us in a race against time to secure the care he urgently needs.

In the attached photos, you’ll see the harsh reality of our lives. Some images show our home before and after the war, as well as the remnants of my destroyed nutrition supplements store. I’ve also included a photo of me being honored as a distinguished English Language teacher at a UNRWA school, now reduced to rubble after being bombed.

Our struggle has worsened since the war escalated, bringing starvation and a scarcity of basic necessities to Gaza. Food, water, and medicine are hard to come by, and Yousef’s fragile health makes survival even more challenging.
Currently, we are living in a tent in a refugee camp, surrounded by countless others displaced by the Israeli army. The unbearable heat, lack of basic necessities, and constant uncertainty weigh heavily on us, especially on Yousef.
Despite everything, I refuse to give up on my son. I’ve started this campaign to seek support to evacuate Yousef to Egypt for the critical treatment he needs. Your kindness can make all the difference. With your help, we can cover the costs of his treatment, including gasometers, ultrasounds, lab tests, and the minimum living expenses for six months.
We've created a picture with a QR code leading to Yousef’s campaign. Please share it on your stories, send it to your friends on WhatsApp, and spread it wherever you can. and spread it wherever you can.
