Help Emilee Breathe and Experience the Outdoors: A Christmas Wish for a Special Little Girl

Dear Friends,

I’m reaching out today with a heartfelt appeal for a young girl named Emilee, who is in desperate need of our help. Emilee is just 7 years old, but due to her serious health condition, she’s been unable to leave her home or even sit up for months. She suffers from severe airway obstruction and secretion management issues, and her condition has rapidly deteriorated, leaving her unable to enjoy the simplest joys of childhood, like playing outside or spending time with her siblings.

Emilee has been diagnosed with KCNQ2 and Epileptic Encephalopathy, and her health has worsened to the point where she can only lie flat on her back. This makes it impossible for her to be taken outside or to be in a comfortable, supportive position. The family’s only hope is to find a bespoke piece of equipment that can support her unique needs, but this comes at a significant cost—between £7,000 and £8,000.

While the Nigel Prosser Foundation (a new charity founded in September 2024) has limited funds, we have an abundance of compassion and determination. We've been in contact with numerous professionals and other charities to find a solution. We've even found the bespoke equipment Emilee needs, but we can’t do it alone.

That’s where you come in. We need your help to make this dream a reality for Emilee and her family. The funds we raise will go toward providing this life-changing equipment, which will allow Emilee to get outside, experience fresh air, and enjoy the simple joys of life again. Her family is doing everything they can to make her final days as beautiful and memorable as possible, and we want to help make this wish come true.

We’ve organized a few special surprises for the family, including a visit from a Disney character (Moana), some of Emilee's favorite sensory lights, and a Christmas dinner prepared by Black Feenix Catering, delivered right to their home. But the real gift we can give Emilee is the chance to feel the sun on her face, to hear the laughter of her siblings as they play together, and to make precious memories as a family during this festive season.
