A CHRISTMAS WISH FOR Sharon “WILD THING” Anyos

Donation protected
Monday, October 31st 2022, was a beautiful sunny day on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The day had begun for the Anyos family, filled with joy, laughter and celebration for Jai & Cruz Anyos. Today they were celebrating their 15th birthday. All morning, there were surprises and choruses of Happy Birthday to the boys. Sharon had made lunch for the family and had just finished serving cake when Beryl began coughing uncontrollably; her right leg from the knee down to her foot was swollen excessively and had been like his for about 24 hours. Sharon was concerned that Beryl might have blood clotting in her knee and acted quickly to call an ambulance. The twin's birthday had become a time of worry and concern for the family.

Beryl endured four days of daily blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound, bone marrow testing, and bone testing, being transported from one hospital to another. During this time, the swelling had gone down on Beryl's leg, and there had been no coughing or breathing difficulties since the episode at home on Monday. Sharon and Les drove to the hospital to meet with doctors regarding test results, hoping that Beryl could go home.

If the family thought that Monday that week had been hard enough, this was THE day that will now be a day the Anyos family will NEVER forget. This family of martial artists and combat sports athletes were about to be delivered their most horrifying blow.

As Beryl, Les and Sharon waited in Beryl's hospital room for the doctor to complete their rounds, they were all surprised by the number of people that shuffled into Beryls room, and her hospital room was now filled with more doctors than Sharon cared to count. The senior doctor delivered the most staggering news that would hit Beryl, her husband and Sharon harder than any punch ever could.

The Doctor went on to say that Beryl has Acute Myeloid Leukemia and that she would have to start treatment immediately, and that if she didn't start treatment, she would be lucky to have three months to live.

The doctor explained that the only treatment she could offer was a current trial treatment that had only been in use medically for the last 12 months. She continued to explain that her chosen treatment had been used on ONLY eight patients in their hospital in the previous 12 months. When Sharon probed for more information, they discovered that one of the eight people had died, and the other seven were considered okay. The trial treatment would require Beryl to stay in the hospital for a month as she would become very, very ill, and the doctor acknowledged that during treatment, Beryl would get far worse before she got any better. That's if she got any better. There was no guarantee Beryl would make it through the treatment and survive.

Beryl is in an unknown world and requests time to gather her thoughts. The doctor says she could go home for the weekend and return Monday to start treatment or see her Wednesday in the outpatient Clinic. A plan was put in place that Friday morning that Beryl would return Monday for a month of treatment or cancel.

During the weekend at home, Beryl received a lot of information that she could begin processing immediately to clean up her immune system and blood. The info gave Beryl more hope of surviving this terrible silent killer disease than the treatment offered at the hospital. Beryl chose the option to clean up her immune system while doing weekly blood tests to monitor changes. These treatments consist of a substantial amount of nutrients, supplements, tinctures, tonics, vitamin infusions, hyperbaric chambers, bodywork, light exercise and rest. Sharon has done whatever she can alongside her brothers to make this happen. The cost of cleaning up Beryl's immune system with all the therapies comes to approximately $1500 a week

Sharon, a mother of four boys, is still the picture of strength as she shares the story of her mother, Beryl Anyos.

She then goes on to share that her Father, Les Anyos, had recently been involved in a car accident a few days after Beryl's diagnosis that saw the uninsured family car being written off. I cannot help but feel Sharon's struggle as she juggles mothering four children, caring for her mum and dad and now needing a new car.

I wanted to help Sharon the family now has no car to help get her mother to appointments, go shopping, or get kids to sports and activities. She is quickly using all her financial resources for natural treatment for her mum.

I have created this campaign as a complete surprise to Sharon and her family.
FRIENDSHIP, KINDNESS, and CARING are the three words that come to mind when I think of Sharon and her family. I'm asking that we all donate something towards helping this family buy a new car before Christmas. Because of the size of this family and current situation, I hope to raise enough money for a 7 Seater Vehicle, and if we are blessed enough and raise more than we need, we can gift the extra money to go towards Beryl's treatments.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO A WOMAN AND A FAMILY WHO HAVE SPENT THEIR ENTIRE LIVES HELPING OTHERS.
