A Community Chorus of Unity in Northwest Florida

Hi, my name is David and I recently moved from Dallas, TX to the panhandle of Florida. For nearly a decade I sang with the Turtle Creek Chorale, a chorus of 250 men. When I arrived in NW Florida I realized there was no LGBTQ+ community chorus for the area from Pensacola to Tallahassee. So, we have started the Unity Chorus of Northwest Florida. We are primarily comprised of members of the LGBTQ+ community, but we welcome our allies and friends to join us to sing for unity. We need your help. We are seeking a starter fund of $2500 for the cost of music, accompanist, and legal fees to get our 501(c)3. You can make a difference in bringing a message of unity (something that is so needed these days) to NW Florida and beyond. One of the songs we are already preparing for our first two concerts in April has these lyrics: "Music builds a bridge, it can tear down a wall! Music is a language, that can speak to one and all! This is why we sing..." That just about sums up what we desire to accomplish in NW Florida. Music can change hearts and minds and heal souls. Your help will spread unity, love, peace, and harmony.
