A Community, Fighting - Cork Harbour Documentary

23 years ago, Indaver arrived in Cork Harbour with plans to build a toxic waste incinerator.

Very quickly, a community rose up with determination and perseverance to make sure that didn’t happen.

Since then, there have been Oral Hearings, community battles, fires, countless fundraisers and an unwavering amount of support for this fight.

It’s time to tell that story.

About the Filmmaker:

My name is Zoe Fitzpatrick. I’m an award-winning filmmaker and I have had success at over 15 film festivals worldwide with “A Community, Fighting” short film. I'm also a member of this community.

I really want to tell this story because it deserves to be heard all over the world; it’s an incredibly inspiring story of community determination,

resilience and hope.

Ownership of a story is really important and I want this one to stay owned by the community at large. GoFundmMe is the perfect way to do that; this is a story owned by the people.

Where will the money go?

In order to put this film together, I'll be working closely with a small team of people. We'll be going through a process of research and compilation, interviews, shooting other material and then editing and post production.

This might take up to three years, and your money will go towards covering these costs and then marketing the film at the end of the process.
